Hesitation

posted in: Poems | 3

If I am awake

the party begins

I see how the trees dance

Sway and shimmy

The water waves

flows, curls, crests and splashes

The shadows play

On borrowed surfaces

So why not I?

The earth moves

Birds sing

The forest whispers

Flowers twist, sashay and bend

Sand shifts, sifts

caresses, surrounds

An insect band provides percussion

Shadows fall

Light dawns

Moon rises

An open invitation

Just step in

Thanks for the nudge….here’s to stepping in…and out…and perhaps even on a few toes along the way.
